Michael Jackson was born in Gary, IN on August 29, 1958. His family lived in a small house on Jackson Street, ironically. They would live in that small house until Michael was 11 years old. (1969), when The Jackson 5 signed on at Motown Records and moved to California. Hard to believe that the Jacksons raised 9 kids in this tiny 3 bedroom house.

Following Michael’s death on June 25, 2009, many fans descended on the house leaving flowers, messages, teddy bears and other memorabilia.

Even as a child, Michael radiated with charisma, and he was known to sing with the emotion of an adult at the age of 12. He could make you feel the words to the song he was singing.

Obviously, Michael became one of the greatest entertainers the world has ever seen. However, back then, he was simply Michael Jackson; younger brother to Rebbie, Jermaine, Tito, Marlon, Jackie, and La Toya, and older brother to Janet and Randy.
